This bill would shut down the Advisory Committee on the Records of Congress 60 days after it becomes law. Instead, it would require yearly reports and regular review meetings by the National Archives the Senate, and the House on how congressional records are managed and preserved. For the public, records would still be protected, but oversight would move from an advisory panel to direct government officials.
