This bill tells the Commerce Department to study which important infrastructure goods the U.S. now imports because domestic factories or supply chains fall short. It would measure whether making those goods here would help jobs, prices, and supply security, including in rural industrial parks. Within 18 months, Congress and the public would get a report with recommendations. The bill orders a study only; it does not require new factories or private data sharing.
