The 37th Legislative District Democrats is the local Democratic Party organization for Washington State’s 37th Legislative District in south Seattle. The group organizes volunteers, endorses and supports candidates, mobilizes voters, hosts meetings and community forums, and advances Democratic policy priorities at the neighborhood and state legislative level.
Pursues progressive Democratic priorities such as affordable housing and tenant protections, racial and social equity, access to healthcare, strong public education, workers' rights and labor protections, immigrant and civil rights, environmental protection and climate action, public safety reform, and expanded voter participation.
Primarily funded by member dues, small-dollar individual donations, local fundraising events, and occasional support or in-kind assistance from county or state Democratic party organizations.
Works closely with the Washington State Democratic Party and King County Democrats and frequently partners with local community organizations, neighborhood groups, and labor unions.
