A grassroots Democratic Party organization that serves and organizes voters within the 48th legislative district. Its mission is to recruit and support Democratic candidates, mobilize volunteers and voters, advocate for Democratic policy priorities at the state and local level, and increase civic engagement in the district.
Typically advances state- and local-level Democratic/progressive priorities including strong public education funding, affordable and accessible healthcare, reproductive rights, environmental protection and climate action, voting access and election integrity, workers' rights and fair wages, and investments in housing and transportation affordability.
Primarily funded by member dues, small-dollar individual donations and local fundraising events, supplemented by in-kind volunteer support and occasional coordination or support from county and state party organizations.
The state Democratic Party and the county Democratic Party, local elected Democratic officials and endorsed candidates, labor unions and aligned community and progressive organizations.
