AARP Florida is the state office of AARP, the national membership and advocacy organization for people age 50+. It promotes the well‑being and economic security of older Floridians through public education, direct services, community programs and state‑level advocacy on health care, retirement security, caregiving and livable/age‑friendly communities.
Advocacy on Medicare/Medicaid and prescription drug affordability, Social Security and retirement security, long‑term services and supports/caregiver issues, consumer protection and fraud prevention, affordable housing and transportation, utility and health care affordability, and age‑friendly community initiatives and voter engagement for older adults.
Primarily funded by member dues and membership‑related revenue, supplemented by program/service revenue, sponsorships and grants; charitable and tax‑deductible work is conducted through the affiliated AARP Foundation (a separate 501(c)(3)).
