ABATE of Ohio, Inc. (American Bikers Aimed Towards Education) is a statewide, member-driven advocacy organization that represents Ohio motorcyclists. Its mission is to preserve motorcyclists' rights, promote rider safety and training, and increase public awareness of motorcycles through education, events, and legislative advocacy.
Advocates for motorcyclist rights and autonomy (including individual choice regarding protective equipment), promotes rider training and licensing (supports Motorcycle Ohio), advances motorcycle safety and awareness campaigns, lobbies on state and federal laws affecting riders, and opposes regulatory or enforcement practices viewed as discriminatory toward motorcyclists.
Primarily funded by membership dues, event and raffle proceeds, merchandise sales and other fundraising activities, with additional support from donations and occasional grants through its affiliated foundation.
