The Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals (ASCIP) is an interdisciplinary professional association dedicated to improving the care, health, and wellness of people with spinal cord injury/disorder through education, professional development, and scientific research.
Healthcare workforce education, rehabilitation medicine, spinal cord injury research, telehealth access, disability and rehabilitation advocacy, and policies affecting SCI/D patient care and services.
Primarily member dues, conference and educational program revenue, sponsorships, and institutional member support.
ASCIP is composed of four professional sections: the American Paraplegia Society, Association of Spinal Cord Injury Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers & Counselors, and Therapy Leadership Council. It also works with rehabilitation hospitals, clinicians, researchers, and SCI/D advocacy partners.
