The ACLU of Arizona is the state affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union that defends and advances civil rights and civil liberties in Arizona through impact litigation, legislative and administrative advocacy, public education, and community organizing.
Works on constitutional and civil-rights issues including voting rights, criminal justice reform and policing, immigrant and migrant rights, free speech and press, LGBTQ+ equality, reproductive freedom, privacy and surveillance, racial and educational equity, and immigrant detention and due-process protections.
Primarily funded by individual members and donors, membership dues, foundation grants, and fundraising activities; generally does not accept government funding for its advocacy work.
