About the Organization

The ACLU of Washington is the state affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union that works to defend and expand civil liberties and civil rights in Washington through litigation, legislative advocacy, public education, and community organizing.

Policy Goals

Civil liberties and civil rights including criminal justice reform and police accountability, voting rights and election access, immigrant and racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive freedom, free speech and religious liberty, privacy and government surveillance, and access to public education.
