AFFA Action is the 501(c)(4) political advocacy arm of the Alliance for Full Acceptance (AFFA), focused on advancing and defending LGBTQ+ rights in South Carolina through year-round lobbying, legislative advocacy, media campaigns, grassroots organizing, and electoral work.
Pursues pro-LGBTQ+ legislative priorities including anti-discrimination protections, access to gender-affirming health care, inclusive education and public accommodations, municipal protections for LGBTQ+ residents, opposing discriminatory bills, and endorsing and electing pro-equality candidates.
Primarily funded by private donations from individuals, fundraising events, and contributions to the 501(c)(4) advocacy arm (donations are not tax-deductible).
Alliance for Full Acceptance (AFFA) — the affiliated 501(c)(3); local South Carolina LGBTQ+ organizations and community partners; organizational leadership including Executive Director Ashley Peele and the AFFA/AFFA Action board.
