America’s Credit Unions

Description: America’s Credit Unions is the national trade association representing state- and federally-chartered credit unions in the United States. Launched in 2024 through the merger of the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU), the organization provides federal advocacy, regulatory and compliance support, education and training, events, and member services to strengthen credit unions and advance their interests before lawmakers and regulators. Type: 501(c)(6) national trade association (nonprofit membership organization) Policies: Advocacy on federal financial services and banking regulation affecting credit unions (including NCUA and CFPB rulemaking), tax and chartering issues, consumer protection and lending rules, regulatory relief and compliance requirements, payments and overdraft policy, cybersecurity and data privacy, and issues that affect credit union operations and member services.
