The American Craft Spirits Association is a national trade association representing the U.S. craft spirits industry. It describes its mission as elevating and advocating for craft spirits producers.
Alcohol beverage regulation, distillery licensing and taxation, direct-to-consumer shipping, market access, labeling and compliance, and other legislative and regulatory issues affecting craft distillers.
Primarily funded by member dues, event and conference revenue, sponsorships, advertising, and related association program income.
Its board is elected by members; it also operates a PAC for public policy work and has worked with the STEPUP Foundation. Prominent staff and advisors include CEO Emily Pennington and public policy advisor Jim Hyland.
