About the Organization

The American Diabetes Association is a national voluntary health organization founded in 1940 that works to prevent and cure diabetes and improve the lives of people affected by diabetes. It supports research, education, advocacy, and community programs, and also addresses obesity and diabetes prevention.

Policy Goals

Healthcare access, diabetes prevention and treatment, insulin affordability, research funding, public health, obesity prevention, nutrition and food policy, and anti-discrimination protections for people with diabetes.
