The American Exploration & Production Council (AXPC) is a national trade association representing leading independent U.S. oil and natural gas exploration and production companies. AXPC advocates for expanded domestic energy production, regulatory certainty, and policies it says promote responsible upstream development, economic growth, energy security and access to markets.
Federal energy and oil & gas policy, access to federal and tribal lands, permitting and regulatory reform, tax and access-to-capital policy for upstream producers, export and infrastructure policy, methane and emissions management framed as industry-led solutions, electric grid reliability and natural gas role
Primarily funded by membership dues and assessments from member exploration and production companies, plus sponsorships and program-service revenue
Member independent producers (e.g., ConocoPhillips, Pioneer Natural Resources, Chesapeake Energy have been identified as members), AXPC leadership (President & CEO Anne Bradbury), and frequent collaboration with other industry trade groups such as the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) and the American Petroleum Institute (API)
