The American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association (AMRPA) is a national trade association representing inpatient rehabilitation providers, including freestanding rehabilitation hospitals and rehabilitation units within acute and long-term care hospitals. Its mission is to advance the field of medical rehabilitation through advocacy, education, and promotion of access to care.
Health care reimbursement, inpatient rehabilitation policy, Medicare and Medicaid payment rules, regulatory compliance, patient access to rehabilitation services, and federal legislative and regulatory advocacy affecting rehabilitation providers.
Primarily funded by membership dues, sponsorships, conference and exhibitor revenue, and related association activities.
Represents more than 800 inpatient rehabilitation facilities and works with state hospital associations, provider members, and rehabilitation industry stakeholders; public leadership includes its board and staff such as President Kate Beller.
