The American Mosquito Control Association (AMCA) is a not‑for‑profit professional and scientific association, founded in 1935, that represents mosquito control practitioners, researchers, public‑health professionals and industry. AMCA's mission is to enhance health and quality of life by suppressing vector‑transmitted diseases and reducing mosquitoes and other public‑health pests through leadership, information, collaboration, tools and education.
Advocates for policies that support evidence‑based vector management and public health protection, including funding for mosquito control programs and surveillance, pesticide registration and regulatory clarity for vector control products, integrated mosquito management best practices, emergency preparedness for mosquito‑borne disease outbreaks, guidance on endangered species mitigation related to pesticide use, workforce training and research support.
Primarily funded by member dues and subscriptions, conference and training registration fees, publication and advertising revenue, program and training fees, sponsorships and corporate support from industry partners, and occasional grants or government contracts.
