The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) is the largest U.S. professional organization for pharmacists, focused on advancing pharmacy practice and public health through advocacy, clinical practice guidance, professional education, and resources to support medication management and patient care.
Advocates for pharmacy practice expansion and provider status, medication safety and adherence, immunization and public-health services delivered by pharmacists, scope-of-practice and collaborative-practice agreements, reimbursement and payment for pharmacy services, controlled-substances stewardship, workforce development, pharmacy education and licensure standards.
Primarily funded by member dues and subscriptions, continuing-education and conference revenue, publication sales, grants and contracts, corporate sponsorships and exhibitor fees, and philanthropic contributions.
