Americans for Tax Fairness (ATF) is a national progressive tax policy coalition that advocates for a fairer federal tax system, with the goal of making wealthy individuals and large corporations pay more and increasing revenue for public investments.
Federal tax reform, progressive taxation, closing corporate tax loopholes, taxing wealth and high incomes, strengthening IRS enforcement, and protecting public revenue for programs such as healthcare, education, and social services.
Primarily funded by foundations, major donors, grassroots members, and labor organizations.
ATF is guided by a steering committee of national organizations and has worked with groups including AFL-CIO, Economic Policy Institute, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, National Women’s Law Center, NEA, AFSCME, Coalition on Human Needs, NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice, and Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy.
