The Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the lives and advancing the interests of animals through the legal system. Founded in 1979, it works to strengthen and enforce animal protection laws, support litigation to prevent animal cruelty, and promote animal welfare through advocacy, education, and public policy initiatives.
