About the Organization

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is a nonpartisan civil rights organization founded in 1913 that works to combat antisemitism, bigotry, and hate while promoting justice, fair treatment, and inclusive democratic values through advocacy, education, research, and law enforcement training.

Policy Goals

Addresses antisemitism and hate-crime prevention, anti-discrimination and civil-rights protections, countering violent extremism and domestic terrorism, online safety and platform accountability, diversity and inclusion education, law-enforcement training, and related public-safety and civil-liberties policy issues.

Funding

Primarily funded by individual donations and memberships, private foundations and grants, corporate and organizational contributions, and fundraising events.
