The Arizona Catholic Conference is the public policy office of the Roman Catholic bishops of Arizona that represents the bishops in state government, provides policy analysis and education, and advocates for public policies consistent with Catholic teaching on moral, social, and economic issues.
Pursues legislation and public positions informed by Catholic social teaching, including pro‑life/anti‑abortion advocacy, religious liberty and conscience protections, family and education issues (including support for Catholic schools and school choice), humane immigration reform, poverty alleviation and social welfare, healthcare and bioethical concerns, and faith‑based community services.
Primarily funded by contributions and assessments from Arizona Catholic dioceses and parishes, donations from Catholic individuals and private donors, and grants and support from affiliated Catholic organizations.
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix and the Diocese of Tucson, the bishops of Arizona, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, local Catholic Charities agencies and Catholic schools in Arizona.
