The Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) is a national non-profit organization that advances the health and health equity of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI) through policy advocacy, research, public education, and partnerships with community-based organizations.
Advocates for health equity policies including expanded access to health care and insurance (Medicaid, ACA), culturally and linguistically appropriate services and language access, disaggregated race and ethnicity data, community-based public health capacity, mental health and chronic disease prevention, and protections against discrimination and barriers to care affecting AANHPI communities.
Primarily funded through foundation grants and philanthropic support, federal and state public health grants and contracts, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations.
Works closely with national and local AANHPI health and civic organizations such as the Asian & Pacific Islander Caucus for Public Health, the National Council of Asian Pacific Islander Physicians, regional community-based health organizations, and national philanthropic partners and health foundations.
