About the Organization

The Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) is a national nonprofit founded in 1986 that advances health equity for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities through policy advocacy, research, capacity building, community partnerships, and culturally and linguistically tailored public‑health programs.

Policy Goals

Health equity and access to care, Medicaid/Medicare and public insurance policy, language access and limited English proficiency protections, disaggregated data collection for AANHPI groups, community health workforce development, infectious disease response and prevention, funding for community‑based organizations, and civil‑rights linked health policy

Funding

Mix of foundation and philanthropic grants, government grants and contracts (federal, state, local), corporate and individual donations, and fee‑for‑service contracts
