About the Organization

The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) is a national trade association representing commercial, industrial and public‑sector construction firms. AGC provides advocacy, industry research, safety and training programs, workforce development and business services to help member contractors win work and improve project performance.

Policy Goals

Advocacy for public infrastructure investment and federal/state construction funding; federal procurement and contracting rules; permitting and regulatory reform affecting construction; workplace safety standards and training; workforce development and apprenticeship policies; tax, bonding and financing policies that affect contractors

Funding

Primarily membership dues from general contractors, specialty contractors and suppliers, plus revenue from conferences, training, sponsorships and publications

Affiliates

State and local AGC chapters, the AGC Education and Research Foundation (AGC Foundation), and numerous member construction firms and allied trade organizations
