About the Organization

The Association for Academic Pathology (AAPath), formerly the Association of Pathology Chairs, is a nonprofit professional society that serves as the voice of academic pathology departments in the United States and Canada. Its mission is to provide leadership, advocacy, education, training, information resources, and networking to support pathology’s core missions of medical education, research, and practice.

Policy Goals

Healthcare workforce, medical education, graduate medical education, biomedical research, academic medicine, pathology and laboratory medicine practice, and issues affecting academic departments and training programs.

Funding

Primarily membership dues, conference and educational program revenue, journal-related revenue, and support from affiliated programs such as the Society of '67.
