About the Organization

The Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) is a statewide association representing public water agencies in California. Its mission is to assist its members in managing and developing California’s water resources in ways that are environmentally and economically beneficial. ACWA advocates on behalf of public water agencies to promote reliable water supplies, water quality, and sound water management policies.

Policy Goals

Water supply reliability, water infrastructure financing, groundwater management, surface water storage, drought preparedness, water quality regulation, environmental compliance, climate resilience, and state and federal water policy.

Funding

Membership dues from public water agencies and revenue from conferences, events, and educational programs.

Affiliates

Member public water agencies throughout California; ACWA Joint Powers Insurance Authority; ACWA Services Corporation.
