The Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations (AMPO) is a national nonprofit membership organization that represents metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) across the United States. Its mission is to enhance the effectiveness and capacity of MPOs to improve metropolitan transportation planning and decision-making through policy development, technical assistance, research, and advocacy at the federal level.
