The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is a Washington, D.C.–based public policy think tank founded in 2007 that promotes bipartisan cooperation to develop pragmatic, evidence-based solutions to the nation’s most pressing domestic challenges. It convenes leaders from both major political parties to craft consensus-driven policy recommendations and works through its advocacy affiliate, BPC Action, to advance those proposals with lawmakers.
BPC advances bipartisan policy solutions across a wide range of domestic issues, including health care, housing, energy, economic policy, tax and budget issues, national security, infrastructure, immigration, and governance reform.
Primarily funded through tax-deductible contributions from foundations, corporations, and individual donors.
BPC Action (501(c)(4) advocacy affiliate); notable leaders have included CEO Margaret Spellings and founding figures such as former Senate Majority Leaders Howard Baker, Tom Daschle, Bob Dole, and George Mitchell.
