Birth in Color is a Virginia-based nonprofit founded in 2018 that provides culturally centered doula care, childbirth education, midwifery services, storytelling and community advocacy to improve maternal and reproductive health outcomes for Black, Indigenous and other people of color. The organization’s mission is to advance reproductive justice and dismantle systemic barriers to equitable perinatal care.
