The California Prune Board (CPB) is a state marketing order organization established in 1952 to represent California prune growers and handlers under the authority of the California Secretary of Food and Agriculture. The Board works to unite growers and packers to support and protect the industry, promote the health and nutritional benefits of California prunes, fund production and nutrition research, and expand domestic and international market demand.
Agricultural marketing and promotion programs, trade policy and market access advocacy, specialty crop research funding, nutrition and health research support, production efficiency and sustainability initiatives, and engagement with state and federal agricultural agencies on issues affecting prune growers and handlers.
