Campaign for Southern Equality is a nonprofit advocacy organization that works to advance LGBTQ equality and related racial and economic justice issues across the American South through grassroots organizing, public education, legal advocacy, and faith-community engagement.
Promotes LGBTQ civil rights and non-discrimination protections, marriage and relationship recognition, transgender healthcare and legal recognition, voting access and civic participation, and economic and racial justice initiatives in Southern states.
Primarily funded by individual donations, philanthropic foundation grants, and fundraising activities.
Partners with state and national LGBTQ advocacy groups, local community organizations, allied faith groups, and civil rights organizations throughout the South.
