The Cast Iron Soil Pipe Institute (CISPI) is a trade association founded in 1949 by leading American manufacturers of cast iron soil pipe and fittings. It promotes the use, standardization, testing, and technical education of cast iron plumbing products for drain, waste, and vent applications.
Building codes and standards, plumbing product specifications, fire/life safety, product testing and certification, sustainability, and technical guidance for plumbing installation and maintenance.
Primarily funded by member manufacturers and industry-supported association activities.
