CenterLink, The Community of LGBTQ Centers, is a U.S.-based nonprofit membership network that strengthens and connects LGBTQ community centers through training, technical assistance, capacity building, peer networking, and limited grantmaking to advance the safety, health, and wellbeing of LGBTQ people and communities.
Typically advances policies that expand nondiscrimination and civil rights protections for LGBTQ people, increase public funding and philanthropic support for community-based services (health, HIV prevention, youth and elder programs), and strengthen local and state policies that support community center sustainability and access to services.
Primarily funded by member dues and foundation grants, supplemented by individual donations, program fees, and occasional government grants and pass-through philanthropic awards to member centers.
A nationwide network of member LGBTQ community centers (for example: Los Angeles LGBT Center, Center on Halsted, San Francisco LGBT Community Center) and partnerships with national and state LGBTQ advocacy and service organizations and philanthropic funders.
