The Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) is a national nonprofit membership organization that promotes the well-being of children and families and strengthens public and private child welfare systems. CWLA provides policy advocacy, research and practice guidance, training and technical assistance, and national standards to improve outcomes for children in foster care, adoption, kinship care, and child protection systems.
Advocacy for child welfare system reform, foster care and adoption policy, family preservation and prevention services, kinship care support, child protection standards, workforce development and training, evidence-based practice adoption, funding for child- and family-serving programs, and policies to promote equity and child well-being.
Primarily membership dues, philanthropic foundation grants and individual donations, fee-for-service training and technical assistance, and competitive government grants and contracts.
