Children’s Alliance is Washington state’s statewide, nonpartisan child advocacy nonprofit that centers racial justice in state laws and budget priorities to improve the health, economic security, and educational outcomes of children and families.
Advocates for early learning and child care, child and family health (including oral and behavioral health), nutrition and food security, economic supports for families, immigrant health coverage, racial equity in policy and budgeting, and state budget and tax policies affecting children.
Primarily supported by philanthropic foundation grants and individual donor contributions, supplemented by program grants and occasional government or institutional grants.
Leads and participates in statewide coalitions such as the Washington Dental Access Campaign and the Early Learning Action Alliance; partners with the Health Coalition for Children & Youth, the Annie E. Casey Foundation (KIDS COUNT state partner), community-based organizations, early learning providers, and philanthropic partners.
