About the Organization

Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) is a nonpartisan-sounding, conservative-leaning advocacy group that works to build Republican and conservative support for market-based, technology-neutral approaches to energy and climate policy by engaging policymakers, producing communications and research, and running campaigns to promote energy innovation, affordability, and security.

Policy Goals

Promotes energy and climate policies focused on market-based solutions and technology neutrality, including support for clean energy deployment (renewables and natural gas), energy innovation and R&D, tax incentives and credits, regulatory reform, infrastructure investment, and engagement of conservative elected officials on pragmatic emissions and reliability strategies.

Funding

Primarily funded through donations and grants from energy sector companies and trade associations, conservative donors and foundations, and issue-driven fundraising for advocacy campaigns.
