The Climate and Community Institute (CCI) is a progressive climate and economy think tank that produces research and policy analysis on the intersections of climate, economy, and everyday life. It works with movements and progressive policymakers to advance policies that rapidly decarbonize the economy, protect communities from climate disasters, and improve conditions for working people.
Climate justice, decarbonization, green industrial policy, public investment, housing and energy affordability, labor and worker-centered climate policy, and related progressive economic and environmental policies.
Primarily supported by philanthropic donations and grants, including contributions through its fiscal sponsor, the Tides Center.
It is fiscally sponsored by the Tides Center. Its work is associated with a network of academics, experts, and progressive movement partners; publicly listed staff and collaborators include researchers and policy experts such as Thea Riofrancos and other climate policy scholars.
