About the Organization

The Colorado State Forest Service is a state agency that provides forest management, wildfire mitigation, and conservation services across Colorado. Established in 1955 and housed within Colorado State University, its mission is to achieve stewardship of Colorado’s diverse forest environments for the benefit of present and future generations.

Forestry management, wildfire prevention and mitigation, forest health, watershed protection, conservation policy, rural economic development related to forestry, and natural resource management
