Description: Community Change Action is the advocacy and political engagement arm of Community Change. It is a progressive organization that builds multiracial grassroots power through voter engagement, organizing, narrative work, and policy campaigns to advance economic, racial, immigrant and labor justice and reduce poverty in the United States. Type: Non-profit social welfare organization (501(c)(4) advocacy organization) Policies: Voter engagement and democracy reform; economic justice (minimum wage, tax and benefits policy, antipoverty programs); immigrant rights and immigration reform; worker power and labor policy; health equity, child care, and social safety net expansion; narrative and campaign communications to win progressive legislation. Funding: Primarily funded by philanthropic grants and foundations, major progressive donors and donor-advised funds, and individual contributions and political donations directed to its 501(c)(4) activities. Affiliates: Community Change (sister 501(c)(3) organization), national and state grassroots partner organizations and progressive coalitions, and senior leaders of the Community Change network (organizational leadership and prominent progressive allies).
