CEDAM (the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan) is a statewide nonprofit membership association that supports Michigan’s community economic development sector through training, capacity building, networking, and policy advocacy. Its work focuses on helping communities advance affordable housing, economic opportunity, equitable development, and housing security.
Affordable housing, community and economic development, housing security, equitable development, financial inclusion, predatory lending, community development finance, and related state and federal policy issues affecting local development organizations.
Primarily supported by membership dues, grants, donations, sponsorships, and program-related funding.
Members include nonprofit affordable housing developers, Community Development Corporations, Main Street organizations, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance sites, community foundations, local governments, and other community development organizations; it also works closely with state and federal policymakers and partners.
