The Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) is a professional medical society for neurosurgeons that advances neurosurgery through education, scientific exchange, and support for clinical practice. Its mission is to enhance health and improve lives through innovative neurosurgical education, advancement of clinical practice, and scientific exchange.
Health care workforce and graduate medical education, neurosurgery and patient care standards, medical education and continuing education, clinical practice guidelines, research and scientific exchange, reimbursement and socioeconomic issues affecting neurosurgeons, and public policy related to neurologic and spinal care.
Primarily membership dues, educational program and meeting revenue, sponsorships, advertising, grants, and related nonprofit support; the CNS Foundation also provides philanthropic support for educational and research initiatives.
