The Cotton Growers Warehouse Association (CGWA) is a national service organization representing grower-owned cotton warehouse businesses. Founded in 1957, it works to promote high standards in the receiving, storing, handling, and shipping of cotton, and plays a leadership role in policy development to protect bale quality and improve the efficient flow of U.S. cotton from farm to mill. Its members handle a significant share of U.S. cotton production and actively participate in National Cotton Council programs and government affairs affecting the cotton industry.
CGWA supports policies that enhance the efficiency, transparency, and integrity of cotton warehousing and logistics, including improvements in bale packaging and quality standards, modernization of shipping and electronic documentation systems, harmonization of phytosanitary regulations for cotton exports, and strong coordination with the National Cotton Council on federal farm policy and industry regulations.
