Eagle Forum is a national conservative, pro-family advocacy organization founded and long led by Phyllis Schlafly. It mobilizes grassroots volunteers and state chapters to influence public policy on social and cultural issues, promote traditional family roles, and oppose policies it views as expanding judicial power or undermining parental authority.
Traditionally pursues socially conservative legislation and advocacy including anti-abortion measures, opposition to same-sex marriage and LGBT-related policy changes, resistance to federal daycare and expanded sex education, promotion of parental rights and local control in education, support for conservative judicial nominees and limited federal government authority
Primarily funded by individual donations, membership dues and grassroots fundraising, supplemented by contributions to affiliated nonprofit and PAC entities
