About the Organization

EveryLibrary is a national nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to building voter and political support for public, school, and academic libraries across the United States. Founded in 2012, it works to defend library funding, oppose book bans and censorship, and support local library ballot initiatives and grassroots campaigns.

Policy Goals

Library funding at the local, state, and federal levels; support for library ballot measures and tax levies; opposition to book bans and censorship; protection of intellectual freedom; and public policy advocacy related to education and library services

Funding

Primarily donor-funded through individual contributions and small-dollar donations; does not rely on government grants and contributions are not tax-deductible
