About the Organization

Faith Action Network (FAN) is a statewide, multifaith nonprofit based in Washington State that organizes congregations, clergy, and people of faith to pursue public policy change. FAN’s mission is to build just, compassionate, and sustainable communities through community building, education, and coordinated advocacy; it convenes a network of over 150–170 faith communities to engage legislators, run statewide campaigns, and train grassroots advocates.

Policy Goals

Housing and homelessness; economic and worker justice (including living-wage and tax policy); immigrant and refugee rights; criminal justice reform; environmental and climate justice; voting and civic engagement; racial equity and anti-poverty initiatives

Funding

Primary funding comes from member congregation support and offerings, individual donations, foundation and grant funding, and revenue from fundraising events and programs

Affiliates

Formed by the 2011 merger of the Washington Association of Churches and the Lutheran Public Policy Office; affiliated with a statewide Network of Advocating Faith Communities (160+ congregations), an Interfaith Leadership Council, and led by staff including Executive Director Dr. Joyce del Rosario and Policy Engagement Director Kristin Ang
