About the Organization

The Family Heart Foundation is a patient-focused nonprofit dedicated to saving generations of families from heart disease through early identification and improved care of familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) and elevated lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a). It uses research, advocacy, and education to improve diagnosis, treatment, and awareness.

Policy Goals

Health care policy related to cardiovascular disease prevention, genetic and inherited lipid disorders, screening and early diagnosis, access to testing and treatment, patient education, and quality measures for FH and Lp(a).
