About the Organization

Florida Action Committee (FAC) is a membership-based advocacy organization in Florida that works to reform laws governing people required to register as sex offenders. FAC describes its mission as educating the public, media and legislators about the effects of sex offender registration and related restrictions, supporting reintegration and due-process protections for registrants, and using outreach, litigation and legislative advocacy to reduce collateral consequences of registry laws.
