The Florida Association of Counties (FAC) is a nonprofit, membership-based organization that represents Florida's county governments by providing advocacy, policy development, education, technical assistance, and convening services to strengthen local government operations and services.
Advocacy on local government finance and taxation, county infrastructure and transportation, land use and growth management, public safety and emergency management, health and human services, environmental and water policy, intergovernmental relations and state-local authority, and workforce and procurement matters affecting counties.
Primarily funded by membership dues from county governments, plus revenue from conferences and events, sponsorships, training and service fees, and occasional grants or contracts.
Individual Florida county governments and county elected officials and administrators, regional county coalitions, and national/local partners such as the National Association of Counties (NACo) and related state municipal or local government organizations.
