About the Organization

The Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a statewide elected constitutional officer who serves as the state's chief fiscal officer and heads the Florida Department of Financial Services. The Office of the CFO is responsible for overseeing state finances, auditing, accounting, treasury management, insurance regulation, fire marshal services, and unclaimed property administration, with a mission to safeguard public funds, promote financial transparency, and protect Florida consumers.
