Florida Hospital Association

About the Organization

The Florida Hospital Association is a nonprofit trade association founded in 1927 that represents more than 200 hospitals and health systems across Florida. FHA provides advocacy, education, data and coordination for its members and promotes policies intended to preserve access to high-quality, financially sustainable hospital care and to support statewide public health and emergency response.

Policy Goals

State hospital and health system advocacy including Medicaid and reimbursement policy, workforce development and nursing education, rural hospital support and capital funding, behavioral health integration, emergency preparedness and public health response, telehealth and care-delivery innovation, and regulatory and licensing issues affecting hospitals

Funding

Primarily membership dues from Florida hospitals and health systems, supplemented by sponsorships, conference and education fees and grants
